SilverVue has developed SilverSearch™, an innovative tablet application which is experiencing rapid growth and demand in hospitals throughout the country. We recently acquired Check™ by SilverVue, a tool to help doctors practice more preventative healthcare. As a result, we are growing our core engineering team and are looking for amazing Software Engineers. Job Description:

Software Engineers are responsible for the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of our healthcare application code. Working with a scrum team, you are responsible for estimating and delivering new features, troubleshooting problems and fixing defects. As a Senior Software Engineer, you are a critical and respected member of the engineering team, responsible for creating product quality with good design and clean code. You ensure that new product features, UI design, platform enhancements, system integrations and upgrades meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review user stories to evaluate technical risks, create designs and update system architecture, and enumerate and estimate development tasks
  • Full-stack development of the UI as well as the backend components and services
  • Create unit tests and be responsible for continuous integration and high-quality builds
  • Collaborate with other Software Engineers to follow architecture, coding, and UI design standards and to peer review code
  • Guide, review and evaluate the coding practices for other engineers so that the system will have high quality, acceptable performance, and scalability
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production system issues and provide patches that will properly maintain the system and provide high reliability
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers to create and execute the test plan and to debug and resolve reported defects
  • Commit as a scrum team to deliver highest priority functionality each sprint
  • Help implement continuous improvement in development process and standards

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with the software development process and SDLC
  • Highly collaborative and able to give/receive critical feedback
  • Ability to learn new applications and develop new skills quickly
  • Ability to take ownership, demonstrate initiative and be personally accountable
  • Experience with ReactJS, Redux, ECMAScript6, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience with NodeJS
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
  • Experience building large multi-user, single-page web applications
  • Understanding of SOLID design principles, design patterns, and system architecture

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience developing native Android and/or IOS applications
  • Experience with C#/.net
  • Experience with Angular 1.X
  • Experience integrating with and creating RESTfull API
  • Experience with Python, Ruby, Scrum, and Jira
  • Experience with unit testing, automation testing, and CI
  • Experience with version control via GIT
  • Experience as team or technical lead engineer


10+ years of relevant experience

Required Education:

BS in Computer Science or related degree earned or in progress
